I asked Grace Wasyluk to share her experience as T-Crew Director. This is what she wrote:
“T-Crew is a team of girls that are between 16 and 18 years old. The team does plenty of different tasks around Beulah Beach throughout the week to create a great experience for guests and campers! Not only do we make the best milkshakes in the world at Snak Shak, we also assist our housekeeping team and our kitchen team, run the giant swing and zipline for campers, and plenty more. Serving on T-Crew is a great way to learn selflessness and servanthood!
This is my third summer serving at Beulah Beach. My first two summers I served as an Overnight Counselor on the Res Team. The transition from Counselor to T-Crew Director has been amazing. Any new job comes with its challenges but it’s been so great seeing how the Lord has used my previous experiences to equip me for right now. I knew that I’d love this position going into it… It’s basically like having a group of campers all summer long! Leading this team has been so much more than I could’ve imagined. Even after a few weeks of staff training and a week and a half of camp, I can see the Lord working in the hearts of each T-Crew member.
Every morning during the week we meet in my apartment for devotional time. We set aside this time for the team to share what’s on their hearts each day, spend time in prayer, and grow in unity. The community that’s found within each team at Beulah Beach is something special and T-Crew is no exception. God knows the hearts of these girls and brought this team together over the last few months (we even got a new team member just this past week!). It is evident to me that this is a special team that was hand-picked to serve here at camp this summer.
This year’s T-Crew team has become a close community of young women that want to grow their relationships with Jesus. One morning the team came up to my apartment and shared with me that they stayed up late the night before and everyone went around and shared their testimonies with everyone. This is a community that supports, encourages, loves, and knows each other well. Spending time with my team is precious to me and I look forward to our meetings and shifts in Snak Shak every day! We all know we have each other to turn to at the end of a difficult day. I couldn’t be more thankful for this summer at Beulah Beach and the amazing team that I get to lead!”
