Meet Our Team

Ralph Trainer

Executive Director | rtrainer@bbeach.org ext.2230

My Primary responsibility is to cooperate with the Holy Spirit’s leading in providing visionary, strategic, and directional leadership. I think we have assembled an amazing staff of servant-leaders. “Service as great as the lake,” is more than something we say! It is wonderful to serve alongside my wife and kids. I love what Beulah Beach is to families – we are committed to raising the next generation to take the word to the world.

One of my core values is fun! But the thing I enjoy the most is hearing of changed lives through camp ministry. I am a Beulah Beach bell ringer! As a boy I tried to ring the bell at midnight and got caught in the act. I surrendered my life to Christ at camp!

I have served as a pastor, an international worker, in the district and national office and now at Beulah Beach. I am convinced that God doesn’t speak any louder here, but many have told me that they tend to hear him better at Beulah Beach! Listen!

Kathy Trainer

Guest Services Director | ktrainer@bbeach.org ext.2280

I work as the Director of Guest Services serving over 150 church, family, and school groups using Beulah Beach facilities for their retreats throughout the year. I absolutely love working in a place where we all desire it to be a place where people come away and meet with the Lord. I’ll do all I can to facilitate that taking place.

I have served as a pastors wife, international worker, and school teacher before coming to Beulah Beach. All I can say is serving Jesus is never boring and the rewards are out of this world!

Jeremy Krauss

Support Services Director | jkrauss@bbeach.org  ext.2250

Support Services, what does that even mean? In a nutshell it is office & administrative type stuff. More specifically I give oversight to accounting/finance, human resources, and information technology. Support Services offers the administrative support necessary so everyone on the Beulah Beach team can function as efficiently as possible. It’s an honor to be able to use my God given gifts and abilities at Beulah Beach and see lives changed for eternity as a result!

I grew up attending camp at Beulah Beach. I loved it so much that I served here all though high school and college. Shortly after graduating, I was hired on year round staff at Beulah Beach and have been serving here ever since. God has really used the ministries of Beulah Beach to change my life.  Since I was 8 years old, attending my first summer camp, growing up a little and meeting my wife, raising my family, and having the privilege of seeing hundreds of lives transformed each year!

Scott Skiles

Program Director | sskiles@bbeach.org  ext.2340

Shortly after coming to know the Lord in 2013, he brought to me Beulah Beach to serve on summer staff as a Day Camp Counselor.  That was when the Lord opened my eyes to the reality that he had for my life and the call that was on it.  My wife and I always dreamed of doing camp ministry and God faithfully brought us to Beulah Beach.  Being able to serve here where God has done miracles in my life and many others is a true blessing.

As the Program Director, I get the honor of working alongside our program team, summer staff  and volunteers to create a camp experience like no other.  Our mission, like Beulah’s, is to “engage campers to encounter Christ” through games, dancing, water sports, teaching, and community.  I thoroughly enjoy being able to work with our summer staff and volunteers and watch them grow to become more like Christ as they serve the guests.

The ringing of the Beulah Beach bell has become one of my favorite sounds and I am excited to see the Kingdom impact that God will continue to do at Beulah Beach!

David Trainer

Overnight Camp Director | dtrainer@bbeach.org ext. 2260

Beulah Beach is a special place for me to serve. I came to Beulah Beach as a camper and remember falling off of a jetski for the first time, aspiring to be like a really cool counselor from Indianna Wesleyan University, and committing my life to living for Jesus no matter how deep He took me. Beulah Beach later became the place where I served on summer staff as a college student, ushered others into worship, got down on one knee and proposed to my wife, led trips with our youth ministry, and became an ordained minister of the Christian Missionary Alliance.

In December 2017, my family moved to Beulah Beach where I now have the privilege of using sports and overnight camp programs to create environments where campers can encounter Christ. Having served as a pastor in the local church, I aspire to find new ways to partner with families and the church using camp and sports as avenues for spiritual transformation and growth. Beulah Beach is now the place where I get to use my ministry degree from Indiana Wesleyan, watch our daughter, Lennon, grow up, and be a vessel for God’s kingdom to continue to be advanced here. The Lord invited me to follow Him deeply at Beulah, and He has taken me back to the place where He called me to serve Him fully.

Melissa Gillentine

Beulah on the Road & Outdoor Ed. Director | mgillentine@bbeach.org  ext.2320

I have the privilege of serving as our Beulah on the Road and Outdoor Education Director. My summers on BOTR include traveling to different churches as we partner with them to run a day camp each week. After traveling all summer, I am able to stay at up at the Beach serving schools through outdoor education as the students and I explore education.

Since my arrival, I have fallen in love with this place. Beulah Beach has an environment that draws people in, making serving here such a joy. It’s amazing to look around and see lives sold out for the Lord and for furthering his Kingdom.

As a recent graduate of North Greenville University with a degree in Elementary Education, I love being able to use things I’ve learned in this position. I have served in several capacities of children’s camp and ministries in the past and am excited that I get to continue here at Beulah Beach.

Peter Fisher

Food Service Director | pfisher@bbeach.org ext.2240.

After graduating EHOVE with a culinary arts certificate I went off to Providence, RI to attend Johnson & Wales University. Upon graduation with a Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts and Food & Beverage Management, I worked in multiple fine dining restaurants, eventually becoming an executive chef for the past 6 years. Finding out about the position at Beulah Beach gave me the opportunity to not only serve but to also use my talent to bring an upscaled look to a camp. Food makes memories so let’s make great ones.
