Lancaster County Pennsylvania
Your arrival in Lancaster begins with an authentic PA Dutch family style dinner at Good n’ Plenty Restaurant. Enjoy the freshest, homemade dishes from Fried Chicken to Shoofly Pie. Then it’s off to the country’s premiere live Christian theatre for “Daniel and the Lion’s Den” at the Sight and Sound Millennium Theatre. Experience Daniel's harrowing condemnation to the lions' den. Saturday morning you will tour the county's largest Amish interpretive center – “The Amish Experience.” Enjoy a multi-media presentation of "Jacob's Choice", the dramatic tale of an Amish family's effort to preserve their way of life and culture. Tour the Country Homestead to learn about Amish traditions, practices and gain new insight into Amish daily life. "The Amish Experience" wouldn’t be complete without going deep into the oldest Amish community in the world to explore roadside stands, bake shops, craft & quilt shops. Saturday afternoon spend some time at the quaint PA Dutch shops at the Kitchen Kettle Village, or choose to shop 'til you drop at the 200 stores of the Rockvale Square Outlets. Dinner tonight will be at Hershey Farm where you will enjoy over 100 homemade items from the Grand Smorgasbord. At the Sight and Sound Living Waters Theatre, accompany “Abraham and Sarah” on their incredible journey of love, and learn anew the overwhelming power of faith. Sunday, before heading home, you will enjoy a visit to Hershey's Chocolate World. Take a tour ride through the simulated factory to experience how chocolate is made. Have lunch at the “Gimme A Break” Café, and don’t forget to pick up a few of your favorite treats to take home. What a perfectly "sweet" way to end your journey!
