The purpose of the Beulah Beach Outdoor Education Program is to provide and enrich the educational experiences of young people by utilizing the resources of creation as seen in our natural surroundings. We will do so by: *Enhancing and supplementing school curriculum and specific content areas that will make learning more enjoyable. *Developing an understanding and appreciation of creation and man’s role and responsibilities of being a good steward. *By providing situations that will encourage successful social development such as communicating, sharing and cooperating.
Thank you for your interest in our Outdoor Education Program. Our curriculum is designed to enhance the curriculum of the participating school by providing classes in an outdoor setting and multiple hands-on experiences. Teachers from the participating schools work with our staff in selecting the classes to be taught. Our staff will provide three teachers for your program and we ask that you provide two. Our staff consists of certified teachers and others with B.S. and B.A. degrees. All of our instructors have extensive education, camping and outdoor background. Other instructors with specialized skills complete our staff. We are here to provide a dedicated staff in a safe environment for your school group. Working together as a group is an important function of our program. Students will be expected to help at meal times and there is daily room inspection. To encourage conservation and less waste of food, we weigh the waste at each meal and report it to the students. During our organized outdoor activity time we offer canoeing, kayaking, paddleboats, scavenger hunts, capture the flag, a climbing wall, and sports equipment for just about any sport you would like to play.
